It’s April!

April 2, 2012 By Mike Leave a Comment

It is April! I can’t tell you how excited I am! I can tell how excited you guys are by how many registrations are coming in already! Everybody wants to make sure they’ve got their spot for the week they want. People are calling with lots of of questions so I thought I’d try to answer some here.

How do I know when a camp is full?
Watch our website. As soon as a camp is full post it online and remove that camp from our registration form. Right now there’s still room everywhere.

Can I be on the same “team” as a friend?
Absolutely! That’s easy for us to do. Just make sure you and your friends register for the same week before it fills up.

How do I pay for camp?
Send us a check or money order to:
Hammond River Survival Camp c/o C. Ruff
13 Elsie Drive,
Quispamsis NB,
E2E 4R7.

You can also send us you payment through e-mail money transfer (paypal). Our e-mail address is:
[email protected]

How did you get so awesome?
Just born that way!

Will you do my homework?
You don’t want me to do that. Trust me!

What do you do in the middle of winter when there’s no camp?
I sit in the cabin all alone, eat left over canteen and cry a little…

I can’t wait to see you guys this summer!

Summer is coming!

February 25, 2012 By Mike 1 Comment

Hammond River Park in Quispamsis NB, Near Rothesay and HamptonSummer is coming and there’s so much to do! I’m so excited about the great things we have planned. This is going to be the most exciting summer ever at Hammond River Park. I have the greatest job in the world.

First I get to spend my summer, outdoors, exploring, learning, eating candy from the canteen, burning things, hanging out with the best staff ever and taking the greatest campers in the world on a week long adventure.

Next I get away from all the normal everyday stuff. At camp no one sits and listens to someone tell them about the wilderness. We get to go out there get dirty, and learn by doing stuff. We build shelters, learn what’s safe to eat and drink, how to cook over a fire, and how to help someone who’s hurt far from home. When it rains, we get wet, when it’s hot we cool off but we never stop. Finally, I remember when I was a kid all of the stuff I went to that was supposed to be fun but wasn’t.

The most fun I had as a kid was playing in the woods with my friends and it still is. I can’t wait to see all of you this summer. It’s gonna be awesome! There’s not a lot of space and camps are going to fill up fast so make sure you register early to get the spot you want with your friends.

Keep watching our website, we’ll be updating it all the time with information, videos, contests, and prizes as we get closer to camp. Can’t wait to see you this summer at Hammond River Park!
